Dog Grooming Clippers

High quality dog grooming clippers let you cut your dog's hair effortlesslly.

One way I have always gone about saving money is that I have always trimmed my dog's hair myself.  Saving money isn't the only reason that I have always done this though.

Another reason is because I felt that my dog was more comfortable with me doing trimming her then taking her to a groomers and having them do it for you.

Sometimes dogs get nervous when they're not sure what's going on, or having to experience something new.  Whereas when I cut her hair, she might not love it, but she's more relaxed since she's familiar with me and her home.

Dog grooming clippers are very afforable, expecially when you consider how much you'll end up saving be not having to pay a groomer's fee.

Groomers can cost up to a hundred dollars to bath, trim and style your dog.  You can find a set of clippers at several different stores for under fifty dollars.

There are much more expensive sets available, but those are mainly for professional groomers who cut lots of dog's hair.  You should be fine with a less expensive set.

Matter of fact, after about five hair cuts I usually throw away the set and buy a new one.  I'm still saving a lot of money in the long run.

Dog grooming clippers are great, but they're really not any different than regular hair clippers.  And I've found that hair trimming sets are usually less expensive than their canine counterparts.

Since they both cut the same I buy the cheaper set.  I guess it might matter considering the type of dog you have, but for my Cocker Spaniel I have no need for any of the clipper guides that come with the dog grooming clippers.

Perhaps if you have a poodle or something like that you might need one of the specific clipper guides.  And with both types of trimmers you must always remember to keep your blades oiled after every use.

This will prolong the life of your set quite a bit.  Clean it of hair and oil before you put it away.  Otherwise you will end up with dull blades very quickly.  Good luck.
